Sophisticated Finishes - A 1 gallon carton of oxidizing solution to create an authentic rust finish on most paintable objects. Specially formulated to work with our Metallic Surfacers but can be applied directly on unfinished iron or steel.

For use over Iron Metallic Surfacer. Directions: Prime surface and apply 2 coats of Iron Metallic Surfacer. Allow to dry 12 hours. 2) Brush on the Rust Antiquing Solution. 3) Allow to dry at least 2 hours then apply more Rust Antiquing Solution as desired. The rust will continue to develop over several hours. OPTIONAL: Varnish with Primer & Clear Sealer. Please note, that if you choose to utilize the sealer, the rust will appear darker. CLEAN tools with water. COVERAGE (may vary): Approximately 14 m ², 150 sq. ft. (2coats) CAUTION: Strongly advised to create a test sample to familiarize yourself with the process!
